Replica Bamboo Water Fountain

This water fountain / dripper has been designed to look like a large piece of bamboo stem. There is a section cut away at the top with artificial leaves inside that let the water trickle down gently over them, recreating a more natural way of drinking for arboreal creatures. 

The water falls into the large, 800ml reservoir at the bottom which houses and energy efficient, quite pump, that circulates the water back up to the top.

Because the leaves are within the bamboo stem the water is retained more efficiently in the system, avoiding accidental spills and splashes. Depending on the flow rate and environment of your terrarium. top ups should only be required every 5 - 7 days. When you do need to top up, simply pour some dechlorinated water through the top of the fountain - it's easy and there's no need to dismantle the whole setup.

Integral Feeding Dish

As well as providing water, this unique dripper has a small feeding dish at the top of the bamboo that can be used for dry foods or gels such as gecko diets and mashed up fruit. This is easy to remove and clean between feeds.

Why Use A Dripper?

Some pets prefer to drink flowing water and cannot see the stationary surface of water in a bowl. Arboreal animals in particular prefer to drink dripping or flowing water and avoid going down to the terrarium floor to drink. 

A dripper also adds to the humidity of your terrarium by increasing the surface area of water available for evaporation.

Finally, moving water is less prone to stagnation so will stay fresh for longer.
